I should have been out to photograph the site last week but it was Mother's Day. I was a little disturbed to see that the trees on the site are not exactly thriving. I went up on the hill to check on the maple trees. One of them has no vital signs. The three trees on the top of the mound must be well above the water table and have had no time to develop roots that go deep enough. The snowberry trees have no signs of leaves but they seem to have buds. A couple of the oak trees still don't have leaves. Hopefully the plant life on the site will be in better shape when I come back in a couple of weeks.
