I wanted to come out on February 28. The weather wasn't cooperating. On this day it went overboard with the temperature at 3°C/37°F (outdoor barbecue weather here in Canada) and very sunny.
In fact, so sunny, it became a bit of a problem with my new lens. I got a wide angle lens that allows me to take more panoramic pictures. I'm in the learning stage with this, as you will see in the pictures that follow that I took with it.
You can see where I transitioned from one lens to the other. I did a clockwise circuit around the memorial site with my 18mm-55mm lens and then did another one with the 10mm-18mm lens.

This is a photograph I always wanted to take. This shows the firefighter and the wall in one picture. With the narrower lens at this angle I could either photograph the firefighter or the wall but not both together. I will be taking more pictures like this and with practice I may eventually get one that tells the story I want to tell. For now this will do fine. |
