Canadian Firefighters Memorial, April 26, 2015

On this day we had what I call jacket weather, moderate temperature and hardly any wind with some cloud cover - quite a nice day for taking pictures. The snow fence has been removed. The vegetation is pretty much prepared for the warmer weather coming in May. I expect the pictures will be much greener in about two weeks when I return.

This picture and the next one show places where the protective coating has
worn off and the oxidized patina has come through. This can be seen here
on the toes of the boots and the top of the axe and in the next picture on
the firefighter's arm. The fact that he looks heroic is a happy accident.
