15th Annual Ottawa Fire Services Memorial, September 9, 2016

The weather for the 2016 Fire Services Memorial Ceremony provided nearly ideal circumstances for the day. I tried using a longer lens than usual. Although it allowed me to get closer to the speakers I risked being out of focus due to hand holding the camera.

The expected parade of band, firefighters, antique fire apparatus and modern
equipment suffered a delay. This raised questions. Are they coming by another
route? Are they already at the ceremony? Have they been missed? Although
blurred, you can see the police escort's reflective vests in the distance.

Finally. The car on the left is a police escort vehicle. Blocking the
view of the front of the procession was most likely unintentional.
