Canadian Firefighters Memorial, August 1, 2011

I think it was about this time I started bringing along a Rubbermaid two step to get a better look into the excavation for the statue's base. This worked out so well I kept taking it for picture taking. You can see that almost all the formers for the wall are in place. There is a walkway near the top. I think pouring the concrete needed some finesse to get right. As well, the top of the wall is not level. It has angles and points. The wall is a stylized map of Canada. The names on the wall are arranged geographically. You'll notice grey piping piled up elsewhere on the site. This is electrical conduit.
