Canadian Firefighters Memorial, August 23, 2012

The landscaping is in place and the finishing touches are going in. Now there is every confidence that the site will be ready for the ceremony. The fire pole has yet to arrive.

So that's what the lighting fixture looks like.

The trash receptacle is a frame. A container will go into it.

The poles extending from the wall are there to support an altar that will hold fire helmets during the ceremony. I have been told that they retract into the wall and that they are stored off the site. I don't know which of those is the case. When the poles are not in place there are caps over the holes where they go.

This plant had a hard time but one of the workers found it and set it right.
