Canadian Firefighters Memorial, May 5, 2012

First off, the photograph of the sign with the May completion on it was not taken to disparage the workers on the project. I took it so I would show work that had been done in the background. By this time progress on the memorial had accelerated very much.


Facing stone is being added to the statue base.


















You can see here metal rods have been added to the capstone. That will help hold them in place.



Note the chains on the shovel. That lets it be used for lifting things.



The corner has been completed with a lighting fixture installed.












Starting here there is a series of pictures taken from across the street. There was a bicycle event on the street that day, so there was not automobile traffic to contend with.
